LabStats Website Application Tracking for chrome from LabStats
This Website Application Tracking extension allows school administrators and lab managers to track and report on the use of select web applications in the Chrome browser on school-owned computers and devices. This tool makes it easy to see which applications are being used and how much time is being spent on each one of them. The information is easy to digest and can be used to help make informed decisions about how to best allocate school resources.
It works as follows:
When a user accesses a website or app, their activity is first checked against the web application usage report. If the application is being used, a request is sent to the LabStats server to gather additional information. This includes the user's IP address, the browser/device the user is using, the version of the application, and any other user-related information.
This data is then sent back to the client, where it is displayed in a simple, easy-to-use interface.
